Blue Ridge Rural Water Company (BRRWC) has contracted with Utility Partners of America (UPA) to provide our customers a hot water heater maintenance program. BRRWC will only act as the billing agent for UPA.

The monthly charge for this program will be added to your utility bill each month. This program covers any needed repairs or replacement of your existing standard 30-50 gallon water heater. It does not cover any plumbing going to or from heater or any connections. UPA reserves the right to inspect the applicant's water heater(s) prior to accepting applicant into the plan. UPA reserves the right to quote a non-standard monthly rate based on special circumstances such as oversized water heaters, or commercial applications.

The standard charges are as follows: $2.00/mo. for a standard electric water heater; $2.50/mo. for a gas water heater. By applying you authorize BRRWC to collect the monthly charge that will be added to your utility bill. If you wish to only apply for the Hot Water Heater Maintenance, only fill out the needed information pertaining to that program. This program can save you hundreds...even thousands of dollars. The plan provides repair or replacement of up to 100 feet of your typical 1" or smaller water lines from the customer side of customer's meter to customer's structure.

UPA will inspect the property after the application is received in their office. After inspection UPA will quote plan rates for line located under a structure, driveway or other obstruction. Cost of the plan to repair and replace water line is $3.50/mo. Cost to only repair water line is $1.50/mo. An additional $1.00/mo. is charged for each additional 100 feet of water line. If trenching is involved, the plan provides for restoration, strawing and seeding of the affected area; prior to trenching we may require up to 72 hours to locate and mark utility lines, pursuant to state law. UPA reserves the right to inspect the applicant's water line(s) prior to accepting applicant into the plan. UPA reserves the right to quote a non-standard monthly rate based on special circumstances.

The plan is not responsible for: water loss due to leakage or bursting; repair or replacement due to restricted lines; repair or replacement due to the homeowner's or a 3rd party's negligence (i.e. cutting/crushing /destruction of lines or meter due to explosion, fire, machinery, tools, etc.); repair or replacement due to water pressure in excess of 80 psi, acts of God, or damage caused by leaks. By applying you authorize Blue Ridge Rural Water Company to collect the monthly charge that will be added to your utility bill. Blue Ridge Rural Water Company (BRRWC) offers the convenience of a bottled water dispensary to all of our customers. The service is another way that BRRWC can provide the customer a value added service at a fraction of the retail rate. The average retail cost of a gallon of bottled water is $1.20, where BRRWC only charges $0.25 per gallon.

This is how the service works. Simply bring your own clean one-gallon container to our bottled water dispensary, located across from our main office at 2241 Fews Chapel Road, and you can fill each gallon with advanced purified reverse osmosis water for $0.25 per gallon. The dispensary system takes normal tap water that exceeds the state and federal standards for drinking water and provides the additional purification of reverse osmosis. This bottled water is ideal for long trips, storage of water or for those customers that have special medical needs that require additional purification.
